Plugin Blocks Parked Sites and Typo Sites

Is this FireFox plugin death of advertising on parked domains?

The plugin is called: DuckDuckGo. It is a Firefox-only plugin that claims to block over "42 million useless Web sites" which they define as parked sites with nothing but advertising. I did a little experimenting to see what parking sites are blocked:

BLOCKED - Google Parking FructoseCornSyrup.com

BLOCKED - DEVHUB HolidayDoorbuster.com

SOMETIMES BLOCKED - BLOGSPOT (BLOCKED: MexicanIsland.COM, OK: ReasonsMenCheat.com, OK: TipsForTravelingAbroad.com)

BLOCKED
- PARKED.COM The whole domain is blocked.

NOT BLOCKED
: PARKED.COM domain: ExplicitSexualContent.com

BLOCKED
- Custom parked page: FdicLimit.com

NOT BLOCKED
: Godaddy Parking Page: voyagetoeurope.com

Interesting quote on Y-combinator: "Fatal flaw: The people who go to these pages and click on ads, aren't people who would install a firefox plugin."

When I have time, I will look at the code of the plugin to see if I can figure out how it is working.

Happy Domain Hunting!
Jorge
