Double Trademark Domains at SalesForce.com

The SalesForce.com blog just announced a bunch of new domains that are "easy to remember". You have to wonder SalesForce.com is thinking with these multi-trademark domain names:

YouTubeSalesForce.com
FacebookSalesForce.com
YouTubeSalesForceMarketing.com

And many others. Most of them redirect to other domains.

On the Salesforce.com website, they call these "easy to remember domains". I have a few issues:
  1. They're really long. Are these really easier for their customers?

  2. Won't many web users expect a DOT in there like YouTube.SalesForce.com? Will consumers suspect phishing sites?

  3. What happens if one of SalesForce.com's business relationships goes sour? Which company will own the domain name? Who would win in UDRP arbitration?

Are multi-trademark domains the new trend?

[ EDIT: DomainNameWire.com picked up on this story. ]

Happy Domain Hunting!
